Update 31 May 2025
Keys Academies Trust can confirm that an anonymous threat involving a potential explosive device was received over the weekend, targeting staff and members of our school community.
In accordance with our emergency procedures, we immediately notified the relevant emergency services, who are now actively engaged in implementing precautionary safety measures across all five of our school sites. These include:
- Jack Hunt School
- Nova Primary Academy
- Longthorpe Primary Academy
- Thorpe Primary Academy
- Ravensthorpe Primary Academy
We want to reassure parents, carers, and the wider community that the safety and wellbeing of our students and staff remain our absolute priority. At this time, all necessary steps are being taken to ensure our sites are safe and secure.
The Trust is working in close partnership with Cambridgeshire Police, the Local Authority, and other relevant agencies to support a full and thorough investigation into this matter. We are taking this situation extremely seriously and are following all guidance provided by the authorities.
The school sites are currently closed for the weekend leaving Cambridgeshire Police to carry out the necessary work in order to allow the schools to open safely on June 2nd 2025.
We respectfully ask the public to avoid speculation and to allow the emergency services the space and time they need to carry out their investigations effectively.
Regular updates will continue to be provided via our official school communication channels.
We appreciate the cooperation, support, and understanding of all involved as we navigate this challenging situation.
Further information will be shared as appropriate and in line with police advice.
