Gdpr, website use and freedom of information

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is a piece of EU-wide legislation which will determine how people’s personal data is processed and kept safe, and the legal rights individuals have in relation to their own data.

It became law on  25 May 2018 to organisations that process or handle personal data, including schools.

It's similar to the Data Protection Act (DPA) 1998 in many ways. Most of the differences involve the GDPR building on or strengthening the principles of the DPA.

Nova Primary Academy ensures we are compliant by:

The names, images, logos and music/singing identifying Nova Primary Academy or third parties and their products and services are subject to copyright, design rights and trademarks of Nova Primary Academyand/or third parties. Nothing contained in these terms shall be construed as conferring by implication or otherwise any licence or right to use any trademark, patent, design right or copyright of the Nova Primary Academy, or any other third party.

About the law

You may not submit any defamatory or illegal material of any nature in the Comments and email. This includes text, graphics, video, programs or audio.

Contributing material with the intention of committing or promoting an illegal act is strictly prohibited.

You agree to only submit materials which are your own original work. You must not violate, plagiarise, or infringe the rights of third parties including copyright, trade mark, trade secrets, privacy, and publicity, personal or proprietary rights.
